So for those of you who don’t know I was at Riverside Festival in Glasgow this weekend and I had the best time! The festival is all house and techno music and is held beside the River Clyde in the centre of Glasgow. I loved being back in Glasgow and it was even better that i was going to Riverside Festival for the first time! I went with my boyfriend and we stayed in this amazing apartment from Air BnB which had the best view. Over the weekend we seen lots of different DJ's like Patrick Topping, Green Velvet, Skream and Jackmaster. The festival is only 2 days hence why this is a ‘quick’ guide. As the festival is in Scotland I was a little worried about what the weather may be like when I was deciding on outfits as you know it can be so unpredictable but luckily we were blessed with scorching sun all weekend! Anyway let’s get into the interesting bit! I didn't actually get that much photos because I was too busy enjoying myself (I know and I call myself a blogger) but you can see some below. So most of the time I always dress in black but for festivals I like to (try) add a bit of colour! I am obsessed with small sunnies (much to my boyfriends dismay). I can’t help myself but try colourful makeup (even though I am by no means good). If something comes as a co-ord I'm definitely buying it (makes life so much easier) and lastly trainers are a must (because who wants sore feet? - not me). Day 1

Yes it’s that time of the year again! (Time is passing way to quickly I know). Monday seen all of the biggest names in fashion grace the steps of the Metropolitan Museum in New York yet again for another successful gala this year celebrating its 70th anniversary. This year’s event theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Described by some as the most controversial theme yet! Dedicated to religious influence in fashion and - reported by vogue - to have around 150 pieces on display. Hungover from celebrating the bank holiday I fell asleep really early and never seen any of the red carpet. So after catching up yesterday I will let you in on my top 10 favourite looks from this year’s event. I think the celebrities done well this year with regards to interpreting the theme and as expected there was lots of white, black, gold and silver, luxurious fabrics with some encrusted garments that must of taken months to create. Katy Perry in VersaceI am uploading this post as I lay in bed with a Domino’s. I don’t know about anywhere else, but Mayday is one of the most anticipated days out in Aberdeen. The first Monday in May is a bank holiday - for most people - so the Sunday calls for day drinks! I mean who doesn’t love day drinking? Everyone always gets so excited for Mayday and yet again this year did not disappoint.
Going out on a Sunday in Aberdeen allows for a more relaxed style. Heels aren’t necessary (praise the lord) and everyone dresses more casually. You can see my bank holiday style below. Channeling the 90’s with popper tracksuit bottoms, a strappy crop top and oversized denim jacket. Completing the look with some very 90’s sunglasses and chunky trainers. |
