It's that time of year again when everyone is beginning to jet off on their summer holidays to somewhere with a more exotic climate. I am counting down the days till I will be soaking up the sun - cocktail in hand. My first destination of the summer is the mesmerising beaches of Croatia for Hideout festival.
With under 2 weeks left until I will be boarding the plane I'm beginning to think about the dreaded packing of my suitcase - surely I'm not the only one that hates packing!
So I am going to share some of the essentials I will be packing for my latest adventure abroad.
Whenever I travel I ALWAYS carry my mini back pack - I've had this one for a couple years now. So handy and useful for keeping everything together - and it also looks effortlessly chic. Sliders are another must have for a summer getaway. Perfect for the beach or poolside - practical and cool. Statement sunglasses are a necessity to protect your eyes from the glare of the sun and they hide a multitude of sins.
Swimsuit - BohoRose
Sliders - Adidas
Mini Backpack - Lamoda
Vintage Sunglasses - Depop
Necklace & Earrings - Topshop
Watch - Olivia Burton
Glitter and stick on gems are an essential for any festival! Making Hideout festival no different. For my trip to Croatia I've tried to veer away from black clothing and increase the sequins. Being at a festival/on holiday is the perfect chance to cover yourself in sparkles and experiment with makeup and clothes that you wouldn't usually wear at home. Whilst your away anything goes!
Bralet - Pretty Little Thing
Glitter & Gems - Depop
Eye Shadow Palette - Morphe 35B palette
Finally, taking care of your skin whilst on holiday in the sun is important - even more so for someone like me who has extremely fair skin (it's the ginger genes). I always make sure I'm prepared and always use factor 50 when I'm in a hot climate so I definitely know my skin is protected. It can be difficult to get a high factor suncream that isn't thick and greasy on the skin but I have found one that is light and keeps your skin moisturised. Whilst I'm on holiday I still continue with my facial skincare routine to help prevent any breakouts. I find Nivea products work well with my skin - I have combination skin that can also be a little sensitive sometimes so I tend to stick with products I trust.
Bikini - Stay Sick
Mirrored Sunglasses - Primark
Suncream - Hawaiian Tropics Silk Hydration Air Soft SPF 50
Cleanser & Toner - Nivea
Keep an eye out for more outfit details in an upcoming post when I return from Hideout!
